Alfredo Villarreal is Co-Founder and Partner at 360 Drilling Consultants.  Alfredo also serves as the focal point for Drilling Fluids and Solids Control Subject Matter Expert (SME) providing service as a consultant in a global basis.

He oversees and champions opportunity identification, support and operational excellence (HSE and SQ) for all 360 Drilling Consultants Customer globally.

Villarreal’s career began in 1997 (3 yrs.) working in South Texas for Newpark Drilling Fluids  as Field Professional responsible for rig site drilling fluid operations, optimizing water-based and oil-based drilling fluids, maintaining inventories, field testing and carrying out the designed fluid program.

He joined Halliburton Energy Services Baroid PSL in 2000 (15 yrs.), as a Sr. Field Professional continuing to work in South Texas.  In 2001 he moved into the Baroid Regional Lab in Alice, TX proving field support and troubleshooting fluid issue as a Scientific Advisor. Promotion followed from 2006-2015 that included Technical Professional, Operations Leader to Baroid PSL, Operations Manager in the Permian Basin, Global Account Technical Expert, to ExxonMobil Global Account Manager with Russia Regional responsibility helping manage the Kara Sea joint venture with Rosneft. This experience helped gain exposure to working with foreign government establishing facilities and use of services internationally.

In 2017 (3yrs) joined Apache Corp. based in San Antonio as the Drilling Fluids and Solids Control SME for the North America Unconventional Resources (NAUR) responsibilities included creation and implementation of cost containment and reduction in relation to all drilling fluids and solids control personnel, chemical and equipment and on location. Through collaboration with the data analytics team in house we developed matrix and KPI’s to evaluate and track progress throughout the different projects and field exploitation, resulting in overall performance improvement and cost reduction year over year.

Villarreal holds a BAAS degree in Business from University of the Incarnate Word, MSM degree from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University and is a member of SPE and AADE, patent awards include:

(Robby)

DRILLING MANAGER
/ENGINEER

Roberto “Robby” Lira is a respected Drilling Manager/Engineer and Partner at 360 Drilling Consultants. Robby brings 23 years of engineering experience that includes Fluids Subject Matter Expert, new play startups (Eagleford and Alpine High) and has been member of the Corpus Christ API, Central Texas AADE , Friends of Texas A&M Kingsville Engineering and South Texas Make A Wish foundation.

Robby’s oilfield career began immediately after graduating from college in July of 1997 with Halliburton-Baroid in South Texas. He worked his way up from Field Representative to Sr. Technical Professional in the 10 years of service. Responsibilities during this time included development and implementation of the drilling fluid system recommendations, procedure and well bore management-optimized ECD and hole cleaning in deviated and lateral environments.

Robby joined EOG Resources in Corpus Christi in February of 2007 as a field engineer and through numerous promotions reached Sr. Drilling Engineer prior to his departure in October of 2014. During his time at EOG, Robby prepared cost estimates, drilling procedures, controlled expenditure, incorporate best practices and technical limits methodology for South Texas HPHT wells. Robby planned and drilled EOG’s 1st commercial Eagleford well in Karnes County in August 2009.

He then joined Apache Corporation in San Antonio in October 2014 as a Sr. Drilling Engineer and worked his way up to Region Drilling Manager by February of 2019. He managed 8 drilling engineers, 16 field engineers, 3 SMEs, 3 data analytic techs, 2 invoice techs and 3 drilling techs. Areas of operations included West Texas, Texas Panhandle, Montana and Wyoming. Robby directed and lead his team to reduce cost by implementing drilling matrix’s and KPI’s, thus reducing the number of days on location.

Robby holds an Associate in Science from Laredo Community College and a Bachelor Degree in Natural Gas Engineering from Texas A&M Kingsville.

Robby enjoys spending time with his family, hunting, fishing, and assisting oilfield charities. He, his wife and three children are devout Catholics. Robby has recently attended an ACTs retreat.

BAHRI
KUTLU

DRILLING ENGINEER

Bahri Kutlu is Partner at 360 Drilling Consultants. He started his career in 2009 with Karkim Drilling Fluids in Turkey working around the Iraq border as a Drilling Fluids Engineer responsible for rig site drilling fluid operations, maintaining inventories and field-testing.

In 2014, He joined Apache Corporation as a Drilling Operations Center Team Lead responsible for real time drilling parameters monitoring, data analysis and engineering modeling. In 2015, He transitioned into Drilling Engineering and assigned to Alpine High (AH) Asset. Through casing design change and continuous drilling performance increase, the drilling cost reduced by 52% in southern part of AH and 25% per well in Northern part of AH over a period of four years.

Bahri graduated from Middle East Technical University with a Bachelor’s degree in Petroleum and Natural Gas Engineering, holds a M.S. degree in Petroleum Engineering from University of Tulsa.

His thesis is on Light Weight Drilling Fluids and JERT-14-1352 and SPE-191797-MS are two of his main publishing.
